Why is Planned Parenthood in South Dakota closing their doors? This is a prime example why laws help limit abortions. Before performing abortions in South Dakota, doctors must now inform patients that the procedure will be ending the life of a human being.
Do we really need a law that tells us abortions will kill human beings?
Sadly, many Americans have bought into the lie that we can justify killing a fetus because it is smaller, is dependant upon a mother, or doesn't have the ability to survive on its own. We have forgotten what we learned in junior high science class: that a fetus is a seperate and individual human being.
When a woman hears that a human being will be killed, will that stop her from receiving an abortion? I certainly hope so.
But will a doctor's heart change when he has to tell a woman that he's killing her baby? I would like to think so, but I doubt it. These are doctors with 8-12 years in medical training; they are scientific experts compared to the rest of society. If anyone knows the truth about what abortion really does and what a fetus really is, it is these doctors. Recently, William Harrison, a doctor who has performed over 20,000 abortions, admitted to saying that "abortion cancels souls." And these doctors continue to make a living by killing human beings, while calling it "family planning" or "women's health."
Perhaps Planned Parenthood South Dakota will re-open sometime soon (or are already open again today), and continue to perform abortions. But just because they now inform women of the truth, Planned Parenthood and other abortion doctors have known all along what they are doing: killing human beings and trying to justify their actions while they do so.
